I enjoyed this second book in the Croker Diaries as much as the first. Again Mr. Burton's legal acumen is easy to follow and understand. I like the characters and am happy to follow their learning curve as they take on the legal world. My favorite thing about this book is that there is no fluff. Everything written is pertinent to the storyline. Also the Author does not frustrate the reader. When one character needs to communicate an important piece of information to another character, they actually succeed in doing so... I love that!

Fast paced with characters you can believe are real. A twist that is unexpected. All in all a good read.
Poorly written and riddled with cliches, typos and missing words that actually change the meaning of sentences, such as omitting the word "not." While a good editor--and ANY editing--would have helped, unfortunately the author has a tin ear for language. All of the characters, regardless of their age, gender, profession, or social class, speak in the same oddly stilted manner, and often behave in an implausible manner, such as instantly agreeing to help the protagonist when they have little apparent motivation to do so. The plot was highly predictable and not particularly engrossing. Overall, I felt it read like the self-published work of a complete novice.

This was a good book. It held my attention from start to finish. I would recommend it.
I read the first book in the series Croker Diaries Justice Be Mine that I like so much it led me to read the second book, Croker Diaries Educating Justice. I have to say that I enjoyed the second book (this one) much more. I always love a good story but I especially appreciated the court room drama, the details of the deliberations and the interaction between the defense and the prosecution.
I'm hoping to see more in the series and other books by this author.
This book features an excellent plot and a very entertaining story. Although at times the author's writing style leaves room for improvement the book is thoroughly entertaining. A young lawyer must defend a client when he is charged with murder. The story follows the lawyer as he prepares for the trial to defend his client.
Gabe Santos has been a teacher for 24 years and
has now been accused of child abuse, but says that
he is innocent. The person who accused Gabe is found
murdered and was also pregnant so Gabe uses a rookie
attorney to represent him in court. A good read for those
who like a good courtroom drama.
