Dragon Storm Dragon Fall Katie MacAlister Books

If you are a fan of the Dragon/Guardian series, then you will be very happy with this book. It has everything you expect from the writing style of this series and Constantine finally gets his story! It really helps tie together some of the mystery behind Constantine and Baltic's relationship too. You also get some nice interspersing of all the other dragon/guardian characters, which for us die-hard Katie MacAlister fans feeds the need to know what is happening with everyone.

For those of you who read the first book in the series (Dragon Fall - Aoife's and Kostya's book), this book is much better. You also get a bit more of a resolution between Aoife and Bee, than where we left off at the end of Dragon Fall.

For those of you who are new to the Dragon/Guardian series, these are fun, quirky mystery/suspense novels that take you through the trials and tribulations of the different dragon septs and the mystical world that they live in. The first sets of the series are the Guardian books and they revolve around Aisling and Drake (the head of the Green Dragons). The next set of books in the series are the Silver Dragons Series, and they revolve around Gabriel and May. Then you go through the Light Dragon Series, which revolves around Baltic and Ysolde. The newest books in the series are single-title books Dragon Fall and now Dragon Storm. These books will make you laugh, cry, yell and scream, and everything in between - they are just fun reads and characters that you do not want to part from.

You can read these books independently, but it probably helps tie some things together if you read the other books too. The good news is that once you read one, you really will want to read them all. This is actually a good book to start with, because it gives you a nice introduction to the rest of the cast and then I would suggest starting at the beginning of one of the different series sets that I outlined above. Happy reading!

Dragon Storm Dragon Fall Katie MacAlister Books Reviews

I finished Dragon Fall a few days ago and was determined to hold a grudge against Bee because of her part in making Aiofe suffer through her two years of torment in first book Dragon Fall. I’d gone from loving Aiofe and Kostya in Dragon Fall to thinking that Bee was a really mean person but I wasn’t sure cause she seemed to try and explain to Aiofe about why she an her brother did what they thought best. In reading Dragon Storm, and getting to know Bee, she always seems to think of things in the present state, she doesn’t hold grudges, gets through what she has to and deals with what comes, when it comes. Bee is stubborn and determined. She really hates it when people discount her strengths and opinions. Yet she is vulnerable at the same time. She’s completely determined not to fall for a dragon. Not even the self-assured, stubborn, handsome, gentlemanly, kinky wyvern. At every turn Constantine flusters and frustrates her. One minute he’s pushing, mostly in deference to protect her (though she doesn’t see it that way) and the next he’s pulling her close and trying to seduce her.

Constantine’s story started years ago in the Light Dragon Series. I think he has been misunderstood and has been carrying a huge burden that only a few people/dragons know about. Constantine was a renowned dragon warrior, and wyvern of the silver dragons that gave his life years ago for Ysolde. She had him brought back as a spirit. He is lonely and being a spirit has its drawbacks. He agrees to retrieve a magical item from the demon realm. While there he discovers Bee who is a charmer, imprisoned in a demon dungeon, he is shocked that she can see him but he moves along to retrieve the item where he meets Gareth know as Gary. As he was leaving the demon realm He overhears the demons talking about Bee, that they must kill the charmer and Constantine becomes her reluctant rescuer, which leads to them both being caught by the demon lord. To prevent Constantine from fading back into the spirit world, the demon lord has a bête noire placed on him. They manage to escape the demon realm with Gary. Without going into total detail of the book, I going to end my review with the following thoughts

In my opinion, Katie MacAlister has once again provided me with another book that has kept me entertained. If you haven’t ready any of her Dragon books, you are truly missing some great reads. There isn’t anything better than an awesome urban fantasy book with dragon shifters, their mates…add in a talking head and a snarky demon dog and you have a series of hilarious, action intense, sexually charged situations that will pull you right into the book from beginning to end.
